Senior Track and Field League - Churchill

The senior Track and Field league started on Sunday 5th May with the first meeting being held at Churchill track, Whitley Bay.  The combined Blyth/Wallsend team got off to a good start finishing second to a strong Middlesbrough team, and in the process five new club records were set. REPORT

Run Northumberland Cragside 10K

The third Grand Prix race of the season, the Run Northumberland Cragside 10K was held in the grounds of the National Trust’s Cragside Estate on Saturday 13th April.

First back in a good showing by Blyth was Peter Brown in 6th position.  Click for results/report and Grand Prix tables.

Beginners Group

The beginners group, organised by Alison Singer, meet at 7:00 pm every Monday (except Bank holidays) and is open to beginners of all abilities.

Mini Athletics

A mini-athletics session is currently being held on Tuesday evenings from 5-6pm at Bede Academy.  The children will be coached in running, throwing and jumping using indoor equipment as used for the Sportshall Athletics Competitions.  There will be a £2 charge per child to cover the cost of hiring the hall.
