Wed 2nd Dec 2009] On a another good night for running 53
runners completed the second race in this seasons Winter Series. This was 10 runners down on the first race
but gives a total of 70 different runners competing in one of the first two races, it would be good if we could get everyone one of them
in their running gear for the next race on Dec30th. First back was Aynsley Herron (running 40sec
quicker than in race 1), followed by Sue Walker and Louise Rawlinson. Two teams were equal on points, The Hare and
the Tortoises and The Game, both with 38 points – these two teams were also
first and second in race 1 and are already building a noticeable lead at the
front. Paul Whalley was again the
fastest finisher and posted a new course record of 12:52, 15 sec faster than he
had ran before and 12 sec of the old record held by Gary Jones, Louise Scott
was fastest lady with 16:18. Many thanks
