WINTER SERIES 2011/12 RESULTS RACE 2

In rather different conditions than the first race 2 weeks ago, a slightly reduced field of 50 runners braved the cold temperature and strong winds in the second Winter Series race of the season. First away was Margaret Povey, and in only her second ever winter series race easily kept the rest of the field behind her to win by almost a minute. Rounding out an all female first three were Louise Douglas and Davina Lonsdale in second and third respectively. First team on the night was R n R, with all four of their counters finishing in the top ten (beware the handicapper for the next race!), followed in second place by race 1 winners, The Broons. The Broons now lead in the team competition with 45 points, 12 ahead of second placed R n R. Robbie Barkley was the fastest finisher with 14:15, Leanne Herron was fastest lady with 15:35. Again many thanks to the two Daves, The Handicapper (Stig) and all the helpers on the night.
