Many thanks to all the Blyth runners,
both junior and senior who represented the club at the annual Elswick Good Friday Relays at Newburn
Business Park on Friday April 9th. All races
this year were run on an amended course due to electricity work on a pylon at
the normal start/finish area. This year
also saw the first running of the women's race as a relay, with a team of three
compared to the men's four.
Fastest Blyth male was Jake Jansen
with a time of 12:20 for the 2.25M course, and fastest lady was Heather
Christopher in 14:15. The senior men's
teams finished 16th and 25th, the vet men's 15th and 18th, and the ladies 7th
and 13th.
