Gordon Smith Memorial Relays

Blyth had eight complete teams and one incomplete team at the Gordon Smith Memorial Relays on the 2nd may.  The course was approximately 2 miles - consisting of a lap and a half on Hadrian's way cycle path, near Segedunum museum, Wallsend.

Blyth had three female teams and six male teams. each team consisted of 3 runners- of which one had to be a veteran.

The first Blyth team to finish were 16th overall - Dale Smith, James Brown and Jake Jansen.  Jake ran 10:52 and was the fastest Blyth male runner.  Julie Clark was the fastest Blyth lady on the night recording 12:24 and was 4th fastest  female vet overall.

The fastest time of the day was by Finn Brodie of Gosforth Harriers - 9:49

The fastest female was Alex Snook of Jarrow and Hebburn - 11:03

The winning team was Morpeth Harriers.
