NECAA Indoor T&F Champs

[Mon 27th Feb]

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February saw the North East Counties Athletics Association Indoor Track and Field Championships at Gateshead Indoor Stadium.  Bethan Sproat was the sole Blyth competitor on the Saturday and came away with two medals.  In the High Jump all the medallists cleared the same height of 1.50 metres and Bethan was awarded the Bronze medal on the countback system, although Bethan can be well satisfied as it was a PB.

In the Triple Jump, Bethan went one better and won the Silver Medal with a jump of 9.15 meters which was also a PB.  On the Sunday, Dave Swalwell competed in the Veteran Mens 60m and won the Gold Medal for the VM40 in a time of 7.93 which was also a PB.  Craig Birch was competing in the British Universities Indoor Championships and set a pb for 200m.
