Tartan Games

At the final track and field competition of the year, the Tartan Games at Gateshead Stadium, Blyth were represented by Chris Lillico, Bethan Sproat and Josh Fiddaman and all three came away with winners trophies.

Josh Fiddaman won a close fought contest in the 600meters, winning by 1 second from Owen Jackson of Sunderland in a time of 1:56.  Chris Lillico won the Junior Men High Jump with a leap of 1:85 and just failed at 1:90 which would have been a club record.  While Bethan cleared 1:55 in the High Jump, which equalled the winning height but was placed second on count back, she had more joy in winning the Triple Jump clearing a distance of 9:26m
