February 2013

At the end of 2012 England Athletics decided to increase the affiliation fee that athletes pay to them. Originally the increase was from £5.00 to £20.00 – this was without consulting the clubs and was quickly rejected by all the clubs. After much discussion it was raised from £5.00 to £10.00, this increase has been passed onto club members.

Membership fees are now due for 2013 as follows.

Senior Member:-                   £21.00

Junior Member:-                  £11.00
Associate Member:-             £11.00
Life Member:-                     No fee

Family Membership.

Two adults                   £40.00  Saving £2.00
Two adults + 1 child    £50.00 Saving £3.00
Two adults + 2 children  £60.00 Saving £4.00
One adult + 2 children    £40.00 Saving £3.00
Each additional adult      £20.00 Saving £1.00
Each additional child       £10.00 Saving £1.00

So although a junior pays £11.00 membership to Blyth, we actually only get £1.00 of it as £10 goes to England Athletics.

However, for your membership fee you get free entry into Harrier League Cross Country, Cross Country Regional and National Championships, NEYDL Track and Field League, Good Friday Races, Sportshall  competitions. Plus entry into club races (handicaps, relays etc)
